Siu Mai Roach Rumble privacy policy
Last updated: 28 October 2026
This policy covers Siu Mai Roach Rumble, developed by Ho Lun Wong (Evan Wong), operating as Covan Labs in Hong Kong. For privacy questions or requests, contact support@covanlabs.com.
You do not need an account to play. Game progress is saved on your device. The launch version has no active advertising or in-app purchases.
Game data on your device
The game stores campaign progress, earned Kitchen Coins, upgrades, daily reward state, challenge records, collection unlocks and settings locally. This information lets the game remember your progress and preferences. Unfinished battles are not saved for later continuation.
We do not operate an account or cloud-save service for the game. Device backups provided by Apple may include app data depending on your settings; those backups are managed by Apple, not by us.
Optional usage and crash reports
Some versions offer an optional “Usage & crash reports” setting. It is off by default. When available and enabled by you, Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics process gameplay events and technical diagnostics to help us understand game balance and fix faults.
This can include stages and modes played, wave results, tower upgrades, spell use, app interactions, app and operating-system versions, device information, app-installation identifiers, and crash reports. Firebase may derive approximate location from network information; the game does not request precise location permission. Reports are not a cloud backup of your progress.
The current TestFlight beta disables these reports and does not offer the setting. Where the setting is available, turning it off stops future collection through these services; it does not automatically delete reports already sent. See Firebase’s privacy and security information and Google’s privacy policy.
Advertising, purchases and tracking
There are no active advertisements, in-app purchases or subscriptions in the launch version. Disabled “Coming Soon” controls do not send ad requests or start purchases. We do not use gameplay data for targeted advertising or sell your personal information. If these features change, we will update this policy and provide any required choices before enabling them.
When you contact support
If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use these to respond, investigate problems and provide support. Please send only what is needed for your request. We do not require passwords, payment details or identity documents.
Providers and retention
Our email providers process support correspondence on our behalf. Google processes optional diagnostics when enabled. Providers may process information outside your country, including outside Hong Kong. We may disclose information when required by applicable law.
Local progress remains on your device until removed. We retain support correspondence only as needed to handle your request, maintain relevant records and meet legal obligations. Optional diagnostic retention follows the relevant service settings and provider policies; switching off reports does not itself remove historical data.
Your choices and deletion requests
- Play without optional reports. Leave “Usage & crash reports” off, or turn it off in Settings where available. The current TestFlight beta already disables collection.
- Remove local progress. On iPhone or iPad, deleting the app removes its local app data. Offloading the app retains its documents and data. Check your Apple backup settings separately. Deleting progress is irreversible unless you have a usable backup; we cannot restore it from our servers.
- Ask about information you sent us. Email support@covanlabs.com to request access, correction or deletion. We may need to verify that the request is yours. We may not be able to associate installation-based diagnostic records with your email address, and may retain records required by law.
Children and personal information
The game does not ask players to create profiles or provide names, dates of birth or contact details. If a parent or guardian believes a child has sent us personal information, contact support so we can investigate and handle a deletion request.
Apple services and this website
App Store and TestFlight downloads, feedback and any diagnostics shared through Apple are governed by your Apple settings and Apple’s privacy policy. These are separate from the optional in-game reports described above.
These web pages do not use advertising or analytics scripts. GitHub Pages, our web host, logs visitor IP addresses for security. Email and website handling are also described in the Covan Labs website privacy policy and GitHub’s privacy statement.
Policy updates
We will post changes here with a revised date. Material changes to data collection will be explained in the app where required.
